Vodafone 845 Android Phone Revealed
Mobile phone network Vodafone already have an impressive range of Android phones (launching the HTC Desire, HTC Legend, and the Sony Ericsson X10 this month alone), and plan to add to that lineup with the Vodafone 845 rumored to launch by the end of Q2 2010. Manufactured by Huawei, the Vodafone 845 will be powered by the latest Android 2.1 software, and will feature a 2.8-inch touchscreen display (QVGA resolution), a 3.2 mega-pixel camera, Bluetooth 2.1 and WiFi b/g connectivity, and support for triband GSM/GPRS/EDGE at 900/1800/1900 MHz as well as dualband UMTS/HSDPA at 900/2100 MHz. Measuring just 100 x 55 x 13 mm, the Vodafone 845 is set to be one of the smalled Android handsets available.
Motorola Milestone Android 2.1 Update Delayed In UK and Germany
Although the latest Android 2.1 updates have already begun to roll-out to Milestone users in France and Italy, it seems that users in the UK and Germany will have to wait a little longer. In an update on their official Facebook page, Motorola Europe revealed that they have encountered some issues when testing the 2.1 update on the UK (T-Mobile) and Germany (Vodafone) networks. Google Nexus One Sold Just 20,000 Units In Opening Week?
A report from mobile app analytics firm, Flurry, Google’s Nexus One handset sold around 20,000 units in its first week sales. According to the data compiled by Flurry that figure is 12 times less than the Motorola Droid (250,000 first week sales), and 80 times less than the iPhone 3GS at 1.6 million first week sales. Flurry monitors usage of more than 10,000 developers’ applications on iPhone and Android platforms.
